A Devotional Introduction Letter to the Christian Faith
Beloved child,
From Yahweh (the Father)
"I am the LORD: that is my name" (Isaiah 42:8). Before you learned how to pray, I knew you. "I have loved thee with an everlasting love" (Jeremiah 31:3). When you feel unseen, remember: "I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine" (Isaiah 43:1).
Do not think you must climb your way to Me. I invite you to come as you are, because "a broken and a contrite heart... thou wilt not despise" (Psalm 51:17). I am not only God of power, but God of presence: "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). And even when your steps are small, I can still lead you: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart... and he shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:5–6).
From Yeshua (Jesus the Messiah)
I am Yeshua, and My heart is open to you. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). You do not have to hide your wounds or pretend strength. I did not come to congratulate the self-sufficient; "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Luke 5:32).
Look at Me and know what the Father is like, for "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:9). I have not asked you to save yourself-I have come to save you: "The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). My love is not theory; it is a cross and an empty tomb: "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
If you wonder what to do first, begin here: "Repent ye, and believe the gospel" (Mark 1:15). Trust Me with your life, and learn My way day by day-because I am not only Savior, but Shepherd: "My sheep hear my voice... and they follow me" (John 10:27).
From the Holy Spirit
Beloved, you are not meant to live this faith by willpower alone. I am the Helper promised to you: "The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost... shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance" (John 14:26). When your prayers feel tangled or wordless, you are not disqualified; "the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities" (Romans 8:26).
I will form what is holy in you from the inside out-not instantly perfected, but truly changed. "Walk in the Spirit" (Galatians 5:16), and watch what grows: "love, joy, peace..." (Galatians 5:22). When you stumble, do not despair-return again. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us" (1 John 1:9). I will keep drawing you back to the heart of God.
An Invitation to Begin
So come near. Open the Scriptures. Speak honestly. Receive grace.
You are not alone, for "I am with you always" (Matthew 28:20).
And this is the foundation beneath you: "We love him, because he first loved us" (1 John 4:19).
In the devine name of Yeshua the Christ messiah of Nazareth, Amen.
